Cornelius Real EstateCornelius Real Estate Analysis for April 2013 – There were 45 single-family homes sold in Cornelius in April. The average sales price of the homes sold was $434,448, the average list price was $455,458 and the average days on market was 92. When compared to Cornelius real estate sales last April the number of sales is up – almost twice as many sales this year, the sales price is down slightly and the days on market is down. Following are the April 2012 Cornelius real estate statistics: 26 single-family homes sold, average sales price was $468,338 and average days on market was 114. With nearly twice as many homes sold this April compared to 2012, clearly the market is hot! Now is the time to buy while interest rates are still near historic lows.

The Peninsula was the best selling neighborhood in Cornelius for the third month in a row. There were 9 homes sold in The Peninsula in April. The average sales price of the homes sold in The Peninsula was  $777,433, the average list price was $827,867 and the average days on market was 120. The Peninsula sits along 11 miles of Lake Norman shoreline and features a Reese Jones golf course, Yacht Club, clubhouse, swim and tennis complex and exercise facility. Currently, there are 44 homes listed for sale in The Peninsula with an average list price of $1,032,798. Search homes for sale in The Peninsula.

Antiquity was the second best selling Cornelius neighborhood in April with 4 sales. Antiquity is a new home community and features walking trails, a pool and a planned retail center. The average sales price of the homes sold in Antiquity was $304,386 and the average days on market was 122.
